It is known that the channel launched on March 6, 2009. Moreover, Raj TV has also tied up with MQ Networks Pvt. Ltd., a professionally managed multi-media company. The company handles the Raj Music Karnataka operations in Karnataka.
Just after a few months of its release, the channel became dull and inactive. But, the channel was re-launched by the network on February 14, 2011. Later, the channel was renamed Rak Music Karnatka from Raj Music Kannada along with the change in logo.
