Derek and Cannis decided to upload the first video, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, on August 29, 2011. After four months, they uploaded “Baa Baa Black Sheep”. It was a more complex and longer video.
After the release of its 2nd compilation of videos of one hour, the popularity of the series increased very much. As per information, Little Baby Bum was placed at the 4th number by OpenSlate company. It became at 4th number with 270 million views and $3.46 million in earnings.
In June 2018, the channel decided to announce the upcoming live show tour in 30 cities in the whole UK. Later in April 2020, Moonbug signed a deal with Chinese video platform Xigua Video for hosting the show on its platform in China.
